President's Message

Hey there, UCB-SHS family! I'm thrilled to welcome you to the official website of the Central Student Organization -- your space, your voice, your platform for change. Being your president isn't just an honor; it's a mission. And that mission? Making sure every senior high student feels seen, supported, and sparked with school spirit.

This year, we're not just checking boxes. We're building bridges -- stronger, clearer channels between students and the school administration. We're rethinking how academic support works, so it's not just helpful, but transformative. Because why settle for average when we can aim for extraordinary?

What is the CSO?

The Central Student Organization (CSO) is the highest governing student body representing all strands and tracks of the Senior High Department at University of Cebu - Banilad Campus.

Who can join?

All bonafide senior high students who have paid the academic year membership fee automatically become members of the CSO, represented by their respective strand/track organization presidents.

Membership Fee

The semestral membership fee is One Hundred Pesos (P100.00), collected during the first month of every semester through your strand/track representatives.

Student Rights

Students have the right to have grievances heard, attend CSO meetings, access financial statements, be informed about school policies, and free expression of opinions.

Election Process

Year-end elections are held in May, with an Oath-Taking and Turning-Over Ceremony following. The new CSO Board holds another election in the first week of the new academic year to fill vacancies.

Financial Transparency

CSO members can access financial statements by submitting a letter request to the Treasurer, Auditor, and Council Advisers for educational, research, or other valid purposes.

Message from the Developer

Hi there! I'm a student from the programming strand, currently at the level of junior web developer, and I'm honored to create this space for our CSO community. The entire site came together in just four days, with another three spent ironing out the wrinkles and testing every little corner -- so while it's still evolving, I'm genuinely excited about what it's already becoming.

At the moment, it's a front-end-only project -- meaning no fancy databases or live features "just yet". Why? We wanted to keep it lean, accessible, and cost-free, especially while we're still laying the groundwork. But make no mistake: this isn't the final form. With time, support, and a little more fuel (both literal and digital), this site will keep growing -- hopefully in all the right directions.

And your feedback? It's fuel for our progress. If you spot a bug, have an idea, or just want to share a thought -- we're all ears. Because while it may not be flawless, it was built with care, a little love, and one quietly beautiful thing in mind: It was made for you.
